Casa do Lago, Holiday Villa

Just returned from a great family holiday.
On arrival we were greeted by the owner Carlos who couldn't have been more helpful in answering our questions and providing local information. The spacious villa was well equipped and as I'm fully disabled found the new portable hoist a great asset, as was the pool hoist.
Waking up and breakfasting on the patio overlooking the Obidos lagoon with the Atlantic beyond was just wonderful.
I hired a mobility scooter that enabled me to independently explore the local area and take the quiet country lanes to the must see walled town of Obidos, while other members of my family made good use of the available bicycles.
Although it is quite a hilly location walking the 1 - 2 kilometers into Foz do Arelho is apparently quite exhilarating and if exhausted the local taxi provides an excellent economic service.
We were all adults but I would be happy to visit again with my grandchildren as it has everything to keep them safe and occupied.
