New Quay was a former ship-building centre and a thriving commercial port. Today it remains one of Wales' most popular sailing centres. A variety of shops, restaurants and cafes cater for all tastes.
It is probably the best location in the UK to see bottle-nosed dolphins - many boat trips are available from the harbour. They are now running again for the season.
New Quay is also famed for its links with the Welsh writer Dylan Thomas and you can follow the Dylan Thomas trail through the town.(100 yrs after his birth)
The Cardigan Bay Watersports centre offers tuition in in a wide range of maritime leisure and recreational pursuits including sailing, kayaking, windsurfing and power boating.

Cei Newydd

I visited here as my wife is wheelchair bound and found that the cottage had all the facility that we needed. It was a great holiday and we both felt at ease and comfortable in the cottage. We could come and go as we please and on arrival there was a welcome pack which was realy good. The cottage although out of the way is so close to a number of places to visit. It is set in a quiet location which for us was great. All the facilities were great and is a place we will visit again.

Stay at Cei Newydd Cottage

Thank you for the very warm welcome to your beautiful cottage. The setting is fantastic. So peaceful & the good weather allowed us to sit outside for meals & listen to the birds. Very convenient base for exploring Cardiganshire. We will be back soon.
